The Tennessee Renaissance Festival kicked off its 2019 season this weekend and local Game of Thrones fans are buzzing about this year’s hottest attractions. Specifically, the chance to meet John Littman III, an actor who was almost featured as an extra on a season two episode of the popular show.
Littman, a Murfreesboro native, recently made the strategic move to relocate from Los Angeles to Middle Tennessee to continue his film career. Littman told reporters covering the festival, “I can’t think of any better place to pursue my acting career than right here in my hometown of Murfreesboro. Go Blue Raiders!”
Along with his close call on Game of Thrones, Littman has also nearly appeared in The Hobbit Trilogy, Showtime's Outlander, and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Most recently, he narrowly missed a lead role as Townsperson #3 in an upcoming Lifetime Channel re-imagining of Robin Hood.
Littman said he will be making special appearances at the festival every weekend throughout May plus Memorial Day. A festival spokesperson said John can be found daily at the jumbo turkey leg booth just north of the Joust Field. No turkey leg purchase is necessary for photographs, but gratuities are greatly appreciated by the esteemed actor.
The Tennessee Renaissance Festival runs through May 27. Visit http://www.tnrenfest.com/ for more information.
