Nashville, TN - According to sources, The Tennessean has internally named its first-round draft pick for new copy editor after the newspaper suffered its 2nd fumble in a week. Dick Richards, a 20-year newspaper veteran, is expected to officially join the publisher mid-May.
The news comes as parents across Nashville expressed concern on Sunday that the newspaper will continue to use language unsuitable for young readers. One mother wrote on social media, "If The Tennessean plans to use these dirty words, I believe they need to add a warning. Hopefully this Dick guy will straighten things out."
Others have questioned if the Sunday caption was a print error or simply a fair description of the cornerback mentioned in the article.
No one at The Tennessean would return our calls for comment.
