Nashville, TN - A Nashville official says the city is allowing a renowned local strip club to stay open during the viral outbreak because "they've got way worse stuff in there."
The official, who asked to remain nameless, said he's made several trips to the club over the last two weekends to inspect the property and complete his report. He determined that there is no viable reason for them to shutter their doors.
"I mean, would you bother shutting off a dripping faucet if your house was already underwater?" the official said, "That pretty much sums it up."
Several business owners in the neighborhood expressed anger that the club is allowed to stay open while they were forced to close, but say they understand the logic.
One local proprietor said, "I bet there's some stuff in there that could kill this new virus. Maybe they should send some scientists."
Ironically, the city official said they are looking into that very possibility and he will be personally escorting a team of researchers to the club this weekend while his wife is out of town.
