Nashville, TN - Ed Herman was already expecting a once-in-a-lifetime experience when he attended a vaccinated-fans-only Miley Cyrus show at the Ryman Auditorium on Tuesday, but he never expected what happened next.
The long-time Miley fan was shocked when the singer called his name in the middle of the performance and asked him to come up on stage. Seconds later, a 1,000 lbs. wrecking ball lowered from the ceiling and Herman was invited to ride the steel globe for the rest of the show.
Herman later told reporters, "I don't know what to say. I'm on cloud night. I just rode Miley Cyrus' wrecking ball through the Ryman Auditorium. And I wouldn't be here tonight if I hadn't decided to get the vaccine. It was so worth it."
The show was filmed for a TV special which will stream on Peacock later this month. Herman is hopeful he will make the final cut.
"I saw the cameras on me a few times when I swung by, so I'm hoping a few shots make the special," said Herman.
Fortunately, The Ryman Auditorium was not damaged during the show.
