Local teen who reported dangerous WWII mortar receives super cool bazooka as reward

Antioch, TN - A second Middle Tennessee teen is being hailed as a hero this week after reporting a dangerous WWII mortar he found in a field in Antioch, TN.

The mortar, which was deemed a live explosive and extremely deadly, was quickly detonated to prevent potential damage and injuries. For his efforts, the young man was rewarded with a fully-functioning bazooka.

An unnamed military official presented the award at a small ceremony, saying, "We are so thankful this brave young man came forward and no one was hurt by this highly lethal weapon of war. In honor of your act of service, it is my pleasure to present you with this M1 rocket launcher and a $20 Hardee's gift card."

The teen described the experience as "super cool" and said he can't wait to test out his prize.
