Local Karen reports neighbors for shooting off sparklers



Nashville, TN - According to reports, metro police responded to an emergency call from Nashville resident Karen Karenski who reported her neighbors for shooting off sparklers in their backyard.


A transcript of the 911 call shows Karenski's concern and desperation:


Dispatcher: 911, what is your emergency?

Karenski: Hi, the family next door is in their backyard shooting off sparklers. Please hurry."

Dispatcher: Ma'am, are you in physical danger?

Karenski: Yes, it's hurting my eyes.

Dispatcher: Where are you now?

Karenski: Looking out my bedroom window.

Dispatcher: Can you walk away from the window or close the blinds?

Karenski: No. Please send help now. I think they just lit another one.

END CALL


When first responders arrived at the Karenski's home minutes later, she informed the officers that the family had already gone inside their home, but she wanted them all arrested and charges filed.


The officers interviewed the family but found no evidence of a crime and no arrests were made.


Karenski then told the officers they would be hearing from her attorney and asked for their names and badge numbers.
