Kroger to limit SPAM purchases to 50 per person

Nashville, TN - Kroger announced on Sunday that the grocery chain would be limiting SPAM purchases to 50 cans per person.

The move comes as meat and quasi-meat processing plants across the country experience disruptions in their operations due to COVID-19.

"We tried to come up with a number that would both serve the community but also be acceptable to SPAM lovers everywhere. We feel that the 50-can limit accomplishes this," said Kroger spokesperson, Doug Douglas.

Douglas assured the public there is no need to rush out and hoard SPAM. The limit is only a precaution and the grocer has plenty of stock to get customers through this and the next pandemic.
