In effort to end fake tuna accusations, Subway to add live fish on every sandwich

Nashville, TN - After months of accusations that Subway uses imitation tuna on its sandwiches, the Connecticut-based chain announced it will now be adding a live fish on every tuna sub.

"Our customers have been speaking and we have been listening. They want to know their tuna is real and we want to give them exactly what they want. So, I'm proud to introduce Subway's new Live Tuna Fish Sandwich," said a spokesperson. "You can't eat any fresher than that."

The new tuna sandwich is just one part of a larger menu update. The company has also recommitted to using real meat and vegetables on most of its other sandwiches.

To kick off the new fresher menu, thousands of stores will be giving away free sandwiches from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on July 13.
